We ensure that all waste is recycled economically and ecologically. To do this, we sort the waste carefully before we process it further.

We replace considerable quantities of fossil fuels with alternatives that we obtain from waste. Thanks to our use of waste as a substitute fuel, we have already helped numerous industrial customers to significantly improve their carbon footprint by phasing out the use of coal. This also saves a lot of gasNatural gas, which often has to be transported thousands of kilometers and is increasingly problematic geopolitically, becomes superfluous thanks to our energy from waste.

Thermal utilization

Thermal utilization of biomass to generate electricity is a modern, efficient and environmentally friendly technology. High-performance cleaning systems filter dust particles and flue gases so that emission values remain far below the permissible limits. We operate a wood-fired power plant in Aarberg that utilizes biomass in the form of waste wood.
